Having Trouble Removing Panel Surrouding The Radio Etc

I have a 2000 lx470 and need to replace the aftermarket Sirius receiver (Sporster) wiht a new one.

Had the original sporster installed by a "Pro" but wnat to do this one myself...

First problem is removing the "Wood" trim piece that has the vents, AC controls etc in it (als eed to replace a couple of the lights int eh ac controls that have burned out)

Does thisrequire a special tool? I don't want to break a tab or screw off...Would appreciate any guidance.
