wwest
I can't believe the replacement cost could possibly be more that your DIY repair time.

VBdenny
My opinion is that the coolant reserve tanks is improperly marked. Try leaving you fluid a little lower when cold and it will probably stop leaking. This is fairly common in early LS models I think. whenever I fill mine to the cold mark, it leaks. If I leave it just above the low coolant senosr, it stays the same, doesn't leak, doesn't overheat, and works perfectly. Denny
BlackLex
I noticed the same thing when I bought the car there was no leak and no coolant low light on. but as soon as I addedd a cup or so to bring it up to minimum it started to leak and the light came on for a min. or so I left it alone and the level went below the minimum about a 1 1/2" and it's not going any lower and now my light never comes on . I read another post weeks ago that said maybe there was air in the line. I drained the radiator and refilled but it did not help. I think I'll take your advice and do nothing .Like the old saying ignore it and it will go away. Thank you VBdenny!!!
