Reversed Cables On New Battery.!

Recommended Posts

I ACCIDENTALLY TRIED TO INSTALL A NEW BATTERY BACKWARDS. THE CAR HORN BLOWS WHEN I TOUCHED THE CABLE TO THE POST. I THEN CORRECTLY INSTALLED THE BATTERY AND STARTED THE CAR RIGHT UP. NOW I HAVE NO DASH LIGHTS OR GAUGES, THE A/C, RADIO, SEATS, WINDOWS, SUNROOF, AND BLINKERS DO NOT WORK, AND SHIFTER WONT MOVE OUT OF PARK. I HAVE LOOKED INSIDE AND UNDER THE HOOD FOR A BLOWN FUSE. I CAN'T FIND ANY BLOWN FUSES. WHERE IS THE BLOWN FUSE FOR ACCESSORIES??????????????????

You could have blown more than a fuse... On board computer, could be fried...

Prbly not what you want to here, but reversing the terminals, can be very fatal for cars like this that have so much reliance on the on board computer...

the gear shift should still work; I don't know why its nots, but if you remove the plastic rectangle of the upper left you should be able to over ride the transmission.
