^ Our Field Site, after 6 days without a shower in the Louisiana Humidity...you dont wanna know what I smelled like...It was hotter than 2 rats screwin in a wool sock under a woodstove for the first 2 weeks.

I can't tell you for security reasons, the intricate details of our training there. I can however, say that this is the most comprehensive (and expensive) training the army gives. It has real world scenarios, and real combat stress...the only thing is, at the end of the day, the bullets are rubber (or blanks) and the Mortar rounds are just pyrotechnics. Everything else is as real as it gets. Best combat training I have ever had...and even though I am a mechanic (not infantry), I walked away learning some stuff.

Nice!! For some strange reason, when ever I see a military issue Humvee, I want one. But I know it's ridiculous. LOL!! Kinda like an Abrams or a Bradley. They just look to cool.

Have you heard anything, and are you able to talk about some of the new technology in weapons? Like I have seen on tv new higher velocity M16's outfitted with helmet targeting systems and so on. Just curious if any of that was real or not.

we use the AR-15 (military verson is the M4 Carbine), and really we havent been issued anything new...except for the M4 looking weapon tht can "see and shoot" around corners...

I support the Army as a contractor equipment specialist at redstone arsenal in Ala. - and I say God bless your dedication and willingness to serve and protect people like me and my family. I see you guys everyday in our hallways in uniform at work and it reminds me what sacrifice for freedom truly means. Thanks for sharing the cool pics too!
