GS400&aGSXR750 Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 Just need to know who've had a problem with their ballast or HID's and if there was an inexpensive fix, other there the dealer (of pain in the wallet). The dealer said the part alone is $849. I've seen the ballasts on ebay, but before I try and buy, and screw something up, I would like to read other people's experiences with this issue. Also my steering wheel tilt button malfunctions almost 85% of the time. It works when it wants to. Any ideas about these issues with my '99 with about 100k?
djspawn00 Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 make sure it isn't just the bulb... take the bulb out and test it on the other ballast... if the bulb lights up, grab an OEM ballast off of ebay... if its just the bulb... you know what to do... I haven't heard anything about the steering, goodluck with that one.

I haven't heard anything about the steering, goodluck with that one. if it turns out to be just a bulb let me know i have some. i just replaced my oem low beam 8000k (i think they were) hids with 4300k bulbs! brian
