Hello,

I have searched google and this forum for help. I have a 2003 Lexus GX470. For the past 6 months occasionally it has had a wierd ride. When going over a bump, it feels like there are no shocks, just springs. When I hit a bump it feels like there are 2 huge lineman football players just jumping up and down. This happened on and off for the first 4 out of the 6 months this has occured. The last two months it is now none stop. I have read the "clunk" issue, and this does not seem to be that issue, although I may have that as well. It is getting bad, when I hit a bump on the road I almost feel like the rear end is going to bounce off the ground. Please help!

Your rear height sensors are bad, its a common problem among older GX. Try recycling the rear height. What I use to do is set the rear height to low, when it stops blinking, set it to high, when that stop blinking, just drive off and it will go back to auto by itself. Hope that helps.

Do you know if these are dealer only parts? Your right, when I set to low, then to high, it seems to stop bouncing.

I will try replacing the sensors... Thanks!
