bucwhokey Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Ok my brakes are acting strange and I don't know what's wrong with it. When i step on the brakes, the pedal would go all the way to floor before i get a good solid stop. But if i pump the pedal once and then step on the brakes, it would feel nice and solid like a good brake pedal should feel. I have to fix this because its very dangerous. I think i need new pads. **Moved this to the GS forum. Smooth 1
djspawn00 Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 yeah, definitely dangerous... check your brake fluid... new pads wouldn't hurt... is the brake light on the dash on?? You may have air on your brake lines... bleed them.
smooth1 Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 That sounds like either the primary or secondary piston in the master cylinder may have developed a leak. If you take the cover off the MC, is one of the reservior's lower than the other? If so, which one?
bucwhokey Posted October 18, 2008 Author Posted October 18, 2008 i have new pads on all for sides. I was bleeding the brakes to day and took it for a ride and it felt a little better but still kinda spongy. It it normal to hear the buzzing sound when i step on the brakes. Sounds like its coming from the place where you put your brake fluid in.
