MikeL22
New to the forum. I'm trying to remove my odometer cluster from my 92 SC 400. Tried several different things but can't get it out. Can anybody give a step by step removal process? Thanks a lot!
1992LexusOwner
First, move the steering wheel all the way out and all the way down. The plastic trim piece on the bottom of the cluster or on the top of the steering wheel is held in by metal prongs.. I believe. Give it a good pull EVENLY out toward the steering wheel. There are 2 screws up in the cluster, there are black plastic clips covering the screws, remove them and you can see the screws. There maybe more screws behind the plastic trim piece, not sure, its been awhile.....Once these are out, you can pull the cluster out. There are several plastic connectors to unplug. Be careful when using a screwdriver or needle nose pliers. Hope this helps!

DaveMcKenz
Disconnect battery before pulling cluster! If you don't you will have to enjoy the "how do I shut off my TRAC light?" adventure. BTDT Good luck
LLS
There are some pics in brandon's forum: http://lextech.org/forums/index.php?PHPSES...7&topic=8.0 Just take your time. The dimmer panel has two tabs of which one may likely break when removing. The other thing is the three plugs on the cluster are VERY stubborn. Use a small eyeglasses flatblade to remove the center tab of the plugs. :) Good luck!
