Hi, I'm new 2 LOC..... and i have sum's..... i just turned 16 about 2 1/2 weeks ago and my parents drove all the way down 2 Pompano Beach, FL 2 pick up my 1st car which is a 2002 IS300..... i tend 2 have a heavy foot when driving and i notice that the TC light in the dash keeps blinking every time i step on the gas... is it supposed 2 do that or is sum thing wrong??? and i also notice that it idles a bit low sum times... usually around 500-600rpm.... the guy my parents bought it from did have a professional mechanic install sum upgrades including a SRT ECU Intake, Stainless Headers, Tanabe exhaust (w/o the CAT.).... so is it normal 4 it 2 idle that low?? or is sum thing wrong??? thanks in advance

the TC is the traction control system, it's telling you that the rear tires are breaking traction. You may need better tires, or a lighter foot, which is probably the issue from your description.

As for the idle, it should be around 750 or so. 500 is a bit low. You may need some time to go thru and clean the MAF, check all the vacuume lines, and make sure the intake is clean. If that doesn't help, then I would have someone take a look at how the SRT was wired in and make sure it was done right.

i wouldnt think the tires would b a problem because the guy my parents bought it from had just put on new 19" BFgoodrich G-Force low profile tires.... so yea i guess i should have a lighter foot lol.... but yea i just cleaned out the intake, throttle body, and basically everything in the engine bay... but about the SRT... i probly should get sum1 2 check it out n see if it was wired correctly... i looked at it but i really dont know it is wired correctly or not.... but thanks anyway
