Tomblin813
I just bought my LS400, it's a 90 model. Suddenly, my reverse lights stopped working. Now when I apply the brake, the reverse indicator light on my dashboard illuminates. I wasn't too concerned; figured it was just telling me the reverse lights were out. But when I drove the car after noticing the problem, the car feels like you have slammed on the brakes and the car lunges forward when you even slightly touch the brake, not to mention the reverse light indicator...does anyone know what is causing this and is it a cause for alarm? I'm worried about the transmission...
TA in KC
I am 99% sure that the problem is a broken wire, contained in the harness attached to the drivers' side trunk hinge.
