mnesbit
I have a 95 LS 400 which is immaculate and runs great with 400,000 KM on it. The low beam headlights do not work after the bulbs for both low beams were replaced. The replaced bulbs looked like they were almost melted so I am assuming there must have been some sort of electrical surge. All other lights including the high beams work. Any ideas on how to solve the problem. Thanks for your thoughts, Mike
Jim LS400
Did you ever get this issue resolved? I am haveing the same problem. No Low beams and the battery light comes on & off. I am going to check the rear lights and trunk harness. Thanks Jim :( Electrical issue lights
jcrome04
always try the cheapest and easiest route first! Replace the lights with brand new ones then if THEY don't work. You DO have a bigger problem.
steeviebrat
It could be as simple as a short. My driver's side low light was out and I thought for sure it was the bulb. Turns out it was a short in the wiring. The bulbs were fine. If your bulbs look melted, try looking at the wires attached to the ballast. Sometimes the ballast needs to be replaced. It sounds like an wiring issue to me. You can also check your fuses as a process of elimination. Good luck!
jcrome04
It's a 95 and I highly doubt he has aftermarket HID's. But anyways this thread is from so long ago I'm sure the OP doesn't even know it's out here right now! B)
