Low Beam Headlights Don't Work

Recommended Posts

I have a 95 LS 400 which is immaculate and runs great with 400,000 KM on it.

The low beam headlights do not work after the bulbs for both low beams were replaced. The replaced bulbs looked like they were almost melted so I am assuming there must have been some sort of electrical surge.

All other lights including the high beams work.

Any ideas on how to solve the problem.

Thanks for your thoughts, Mike

It could be as simple as a short. My driver's side low light was out and I thought for sure it was the bulb. Turns out it was a short in the wiring. The bulbs were fine. If your bulbs look melted, try looking at the wires attached to the ballast. Sometimes the ballast needs to be replaced. It sounds like an wiring issue to me. You can also check your fuses as a process of elimination. Good luck!
