sprk408
My LS400 got towed to shop. There was smoke from glove compartment area and car won't start. My mechanic found out ECU (engine control unit) and wire are burnt. He said I am looking at around $2K for repair. What would cause this problem? If you had same problem and had repair done, let me know. Last 20K mile has been like hell. 1. cracked egr pipe changed. 2. power steering pump changed. 3. driver side window motor changed. 4. alternator changed. 5. leaking air suspensions changed to four new regular shocks. Now burnt ECU and wire-hardness. :( Do you have these problems too?

JENunnez
Wow man I'm sorry to hear all these things are happening. Thats a tough one and no guarantee that the new ECU won't melt down again because of some other problem that has'nt been seen. I'd be very careful!
