Phoenix Reborn
The front brakes on my 1990 LS 400 just locked up and as far as I can tell need new pads, rotors, and I'd assume calipers. How much will this cost me?
jcrome04
Depends on if you go dealer or indy, whether you go OEM or not, and whether you need rotors or not.
AZ Mike
The local dealer here in Mesa wants $340 for a rear brake job. Instead, I bought the OEM pads from irontoad.com for $45, some brake fluid from Checker, and I'll just do it myself.
Phoenix Reborn
It's done. I was asking for a round about figure, I'm aware of all the variables. I can't imagine bringing my 18 year old car to the dealership for something as simple as a brake job. Anyway the indy charged 430 for brakes rotors and calipers. For a 4 wheel brake job I paid $870.Included was 1 caliper replacement plus 2 new rear rotors.Midas did the job for me while I was on road in NY.I used them because of their warranty.Expensive but I know it was done right
