08 Rx 350 Navigation/dvd Player Problem

Hello,

I've been trying to help my mother set up the navigation system in her 2008 RX 350. I insert the disc into the front (and only dvd player in the car) DVD drive and it says no map disc on the screen. I tried inserting a South Park DVD to see if it would play, and I only get sound but no picture. Also, the "Picture" button isn't lit up (i think it's on the audio screen?), so "Picture" isn't an option. The reverse camera works fine, so the screen does work. Can anyone tell me why a picture for DVDs or the Nav system isn't showing up? And also, why can't I press the "Picture" button? She bought the car used with 5000 miles, so maybe the owner had lexus disable the DVD player? The disc drive says DVD when South Park and the Nav Disc were inserted, but it just flashed no music when the Nav disc is inserted. We'd appreciate any help so we don't have to get overcharged at a dealer.

No I didn't apply the parking break.

I found the disk drive in the trunk... I had no idea it was back there. Thanks for your help

Hi, where exactly is the NAV dvd drive? I tried looking and all I could find is the jack, and some tools. Please help!
