Speedy J
Dear fellow Lexusdrivers, I have been looking around for a subwoofer to replace mij present subwoofer, but I cannot find a fitting one. I am driving a '95 LS400 and I think a new subwoofer would improve my bass enough, without having to install a receiver too (coz I am not very handy...) Does anybody have a tip for me, which one to buy? Thanks in advance, greetings Speedy J (Holland)
TA in KC
What kind of sound system does your car have? Is it the standard Pioneer system or the Nakamichi one?
jcrome04
There is a tutorial on lexls.com on replacing the sub with an aftermarket one. www.lexlx.com/tutorials
Speedy J
It is the Nakamichi one. I already found the tutorial, thanks for the tip, but I was wondering if anyone here would recommend me a certain replace-sub. So hopefully......

Speedy J
I am not looking for a special brand because I was hoping to get a good tip here ;) Besides that, I dont have the specs for an other woofer, I mean how big it should be to fit et cetera... I am not a technical miracle so I would need to know what to buy and than I should be able to fit it in.... I guess... I hope
jcrome04
Lots of details on the sub you need on the lexls tutorial. An 8" 2 Ohm sub, 40 watts RMS ,or a bit less would be fine (30-40 RMS) He got his at crutchfield
