Park Assist Sonar

Hi All,

I recently purchased an 05 LS430 with 52k miles. Mechanically and Electronically the car is in good shape - except for this part assistance. When I switch it on, it says "check sonar" and points to the center sonar on the rear bumper. When I investigated it further, it looked like one particular sensor in the rear bumper had cracks around the edge of its attachment to the bumper.

My question is

1. Can I still use the park assist -- is there any way to turn off that message and continue to use the park assist ?

2. Should I have to replace the whole bumper or can I just replace that sensor ? Any idea how much it could cost ?

Start by switching the sensors around to see if the problem moves.

Have you cleaned it?
