Punk In Drublic
The thing in the middle of the dash, as far up front as you can get, right under the windshield. It's red I think.
steviej
that is the ambient light sensor. When your headlights are in the "auto" selection, this sensor tells the car how light (or dark) it is. When it gets too dark the lights come on. When it gets to lights the lights go out. steviej

Punk In Drublic
Dumb question.. how do I set my headlights to Auto?
SKperformance
Depends on the year. If you have one in the center it is for the solar sensor which tells the HVAC to blow to the vents when the sun is blazing on you. The one right in front of the driver on the dash is the light sensor for turngin on the auto headlights. Why they need more than one i have no clue. tuan92129
That would be the solar sensor. We don't have automatic headlights.
