KellBob Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 I have a 2000 RX 300 and the car needs to have the knock sensors replaced. My 1st question is can I do this job myself or should the dealer do the work? My 2nd question is if I can do the work myself which repair manaul is the right one to buy? Thanks, KellBob
lenore Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 A haynes manual would probably be just fine. They have them at bookstores and Toyota Dealerships which cover the Highlander/LExus RX300. However here is a posting with pictures that will show you everything including parts numbers: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=41266

mikey00 Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 Or download the factory manual. "Anyone wanting a copy of the 1999-2000 RX300 repair manual, here is a link: http://www.esnips.com/doc/9641c41a-4...-Repair-Manual This is a 40 Mb or so big PDF once you use RARZilla to open the compressed RAR file."
