stealth IS350
anyone have a dealer tell you that you have to replace your rotors on the first brake job you have done? I have just a little over 26k miles on my is350 and i was told that I needed to have my rotors replaced to the tune of $375. Anyone get their brakes done and not have to do the rotors? Knightshade
Ask him how thick the rotors measured. If he tells you he didn't measure them he's ripping you off (and at 26k he's probably doing that anyway)

Definitely depends on how your rotors look and the measurements. If you live in a high road salt area, they are more likely to replace them due to corrosion. Your rotors most likely can be machined, but sometimes they can warp after 10,000 miles and you can experience pulsating brakes. The customer returns and then would have to buy rotors and pay for labor. Now you're hit for 2 brake jobs basically. Lexus wants to do it right the first time and have a happy customer. is350ace
They replaced my rotors. But I had mine done on the TSB, and they were Free. I was amazed that they needed replaceing also. Seemed rather quick to me.
