Truck Shocks

My trunk keeps falling on my head when I put something in the back of the car. In all my years of owning a car I have never had this problem. I don't know what to think about these cars. Don't think I will ever have another. I would like to purchase shocks myself and install them. The Lexus dealer was trying to ROB me. It can't be that hard!! Any body out there have the same problem????

What year is your SC? Mine's a 2006; just wondering when I can expect to have my head bumped.

Very common problem I think its due to the extra stress they have to go through with not just the use as a trunk lift but also the top up/down use.

Anyway just buy these takes 10 minutes to fit. $58

My '02's trunk struts went bad 2yrs ago and I replaced them with a new pair (like those on ebay) and it took less than 10 minutes... still have a couple dents in my head, though.

I had the same problem with my 2005. The lexus dealer replaced them at no cost, the car is still in warranty. The car is

only 3 years old and has 17900 miles.
