We have an '05 LS430 Ultra Luxury, Pre-Collision. This car is equipped with the air suspension system. It is not a pleasant ride. When driving over a typical speed bump in a parking lot at slow speed the car rocks violently side to side. It's a little better in the sport mode and much better at higher speeds. The problem seems to be at the rear end. No rocking when the front wheels go over the bump, only when the rear wheels make contact. Dealer can't find a problem. I have heard there is an air proportioning valve which moves air to the corner of the car requiring air or air dump. Anyone else experienced a similar problem?

You seem to be only mentioning the damping mode, but have tried putting both the damping mode and vehicle height adjustment on normal?

Bumps are more violent feeling at lower speeds, are you hitting the bump at an angle??

Air suspension is MUCH MUCH more superior and comfortable to a traditional setup.

Both are set to the normal position. The rocking is a little better in the sport position.

That's what I thought too, hitting at an angle, but I've carefully made straight on contact and it still rocks. I sold a 99LS and bought the 05, I swear the 99 rode better.

Actually I disagree. IMHO the standard suspension LS drives at least as well...if not better.

Does your 05 have the 18inch wheels?

Yes, 18 wheels, low profile tires.
