Fix For Gen 2/3 Dead Nav Units

Recommended Posts

I was one of the idiots who tried to change to the EU region on a US system and killed my nav unit...dead. Lexus said there was no fix, I even called the 800 number.

There were several fixes posted here and on other sites but none worked for me.

What did work was sending it to a guy in Detroit called ToyoLexNavSpec. He fixed it like new for less than the cost of a new disc. You can find him on EBay selling nav systems (this was where I found him) or email at tahirmallick@hotmail.com . I'm getting nothing for posting this from him, I jut know that there are people out there who would like to get their system fixed.

I also think another guy who goes by egusman can fix them.

Thank you,

I am now able to fix these generation 3 and generation 4 computer ( there are 99% chances of recovery if you are on the wrong program) after spending 100s of hours and 1000s dollar on research, I will be happy to help any one who needs help in Lexus or Toyota navigation system recovery and to fix touch screen,

I do it as a hobby and enjoy doing it. :D

nothing wrong with your ECU - 99% causeby bad disc in the unit. try to clean the disc and reinsert. if the screen shows the same error again, turn key of, wait few sec and turn back on to ACC. repeat this step few times. if ECU still not like the disc, reinsert the disc, and do not close the dvd door. this will allow the ecu to eject the disc. try the key on and off. the system will take the disc if it is a real good dvd.
