tsantoro Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 I had my 20k service for my 2006 IS250 AWD done at a private shop by an ASE certified technician and we both need to know the exact location and the recommended torque for these bolts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
bartkat Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 It's the flanges at the front and rear couplings of the drive shaft. My Lexus service people tell me that they've never found any that actually needed to be torqued.

Many thanks Bartkat, as usual you advice is well worth reading. If anyone else would possibly know the actual torque recommendation, I would appreciate knowing what it is for future reference. tsantoro

tsantoro Posted February 20, 2008 Author Posted February 20, 2008 Thanks once again Bartkat. Would it be possible for you to attach the pdf regarding propeller shaft install for the Is 250 AWD model (4GR-FSE)? tsantoro
bartkat Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 I only have the tech stuff for the IS350. You can download for the AWD at http://techinfo.lexus.com/ It's $10 for 24 hrs of downoad access. I got all the 350 files that way.
