antidot Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 hi ! i just crossed 90,000 miles mark, and dealership dude told me timing belt change is "recommended" at this time. Is that true ? How much time/miles do i have till timing belt really might fall apart ? Is it another good 10,000 miles or should i replace it immediately ? pls let me know what you think.. i kinda don't want to spend $900 if i don't really have to.. thank you

If you drive normally you may have up to 30k left. I have the same motor in my GS and I had mine changed @around 110k and the belt looked great. Have the waterpump changed @ the same time, It will save you $ down the road.
