oyu Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 This problem has been happening since last winter and it seems only happen on winter. I live in VA so the weather isn't that cold on winter. But the dash borad doesn't light up until drive it for over 15 minutes. And it happens on the first drive on the day. I have heard this is a common problem for Lexus around that year, is that true? What causing the problem? How to fix it and does it cost a lot to fix it?
steve2006 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Hi, This is a very common fault and is caused by defective capacitors in the unit, a very cheap fix if you can do it yourself but if not there are many topics on this and people that do the repairs including places on Ebay. Just type ls400 dash repairs into google.
