tony gules Posted January 3, 2008 Share Posted January 3, 2008 i have a 2006 250 IS. i bought it in greenwich,ct. since i commute the car has about 20,000 miles on it. since jue of 2007 ive brought the car into the dealer five times because the tire pressure light goes on. does any one know if this a common problem and what can be done about it. all my repairs have been done at the lexus dealer in greenwich,ct. any comments or help would be appreciated. thanks. tex2670 Posted January 4, 2008 Share Posted January 4, 2008 What does the dealer say? The obvious answer is that maybe you have a slow leak, but I would think the dealer would find it. bartkat Posted January 4, 2008 Share Posted January 4, 2008 I believe the alarm is going to go off at +/- 4 PSI from the initialization pressure. Also there are two selections on the panel. If you switch to the 2nd tire set, the alarm will go off since there are no sensors for that one. Tire pressure will also change 1 PSI for every 10 degree F change in the outside temperature. We saw that happen when a guy bought a car in Florida and drove it up north. Turned out to be the difference in temperatures. Get a good tire guage and check them manually.
