2007 Is 250 Smart Key Help

I'm hoping someone here can help me. Recently(Today) I lost my smart key for my Lexus IS 250. I have seen the keys on sale on Ebay and was curious to know if this would be a good place to get one? Also, does anybody know how to program a new key to the car?

Most of the time for stuff like this you need to take it to the dealer along with your registration or some sort of proof of ownership. Not positive but thats what I've had to do to program transponder keys for other cars. Most of the time you have to take the car in too so if you dont have a spare you might be having a tow truck expense.

Dealer has to program it. You may save a few bucks buying it on eBay, buy you still need the dealer to program it.
