Mosh
It says in my owner's manual (99 GS300) that you can set different operations of the keyless entry, such as the beep volume, automatic re-lock delay, etc. Does anyone know how to do these things? The manual says "Ask your Lexus dealer", but I don't feel inclined to pay to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
raymsixsix
Hey Mosh, apparently they can only be set by the lexus techs, unless you have access to the programs they use to edit the options. I had an 01 GS300 and had called Lexus of Tampa Bay about adjusting the keyless entry beep volume. The guy told me that there is a thumbwheel of some sort underneath the dash and that would control the volume. I looked and looked in vain as I never found this so-called thumbwheel. If I remember correctly, the cost for them to edit the options for you there is a charge of $75. Let us know how it turns out. :D

I think Toyota could do it but, they would be scared.

GuyTelefunken
If you have a good relationship with your dealer, or on a visit for some other service, they sometimes do it for no charge.

I will try to squeeze that out of them next time I am up there. Maybe I will get lucky. Thanks!
