When I turn the key and the adjustments are made to my preferences the steering wheel squeaks. Love to fix myself w/o spending big money at the dealership. Love to fix myself w/o spending big money at the dealership.Thanks, Dave I just got my 2003 LS430 out of the shop where they replaced under warranty the Steering Shaft Joint Assembly. A service bulletin was issued for this symptom. Depends on mileage but it may be worth taking it to the dealer. Saved me $$191.46 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
GS400-79 Posted May 17, 2008 Share Posted May 17, 2008 Hi, my steering wheel is also squeaking, but only when it retracts after I turn off the engine and remove the key. The car is a 98 GS400.
