jarvis Posted November 8, 2007 Share Posted November 8, 2007 I had a p0430 engine code in my 2000 gs300. i replaced the cats thinking that was the problem because my friend said i was blowing white smoke when i got on it. after i drove it about a hundred miles the check engine light came back on now i dont know what the problem is. i cant afford to take the car to a shop to get it worked on. please help. JDMSedan Posted November 12, 2007 Share Posted November 12, 2007 The only way anybody can help is if you find out what the new code is. If it's the same one then something is causing your cats to overheat like your EGR valve or something. White smoke sounds like an internal engine problem like maybe bad rings.
