has anyone ever thought of or even attempted to swap in a 1jz into a 2nd gen gs300. ive been thinking about it. i know its alot easier to do on an SC but im not gettin rid of the GS lol.

i bought mine with 119k on it and it needs piston rings ( have no idea how that happend ) but other than that, check the ball joints and the door lock actuators those seem to be common problems among 2gs owners

you have your car idling too long. i've read that you only need 30 seconds of warm up in the mornings. the temp. guage doesnt necessarily have to hit a certain level. Do your research online to make sure. This should add another 40 mpg you live in cali tho. does it ever get below 60 degrees there? haha.

You sure the smoke is coming out your exhaust? If it is, could be a gasket starting to go. If not, could be overflow burning off the manifold. Check your coolant level. Also, "full throttle" has a lot to do with mileage. coolant is full and yes its coming out of the exhaust

My car likes to blow white smoke whenever i get on it. its not real bad but its noticable in my rear view mirror. what could cause this? also my car seems to be burning oil. theres no leaks or anything in my driveway. sorry im a lexus novice. any input would be appreciated.

i have been looking around for an exhust or maybe getting a custom set up. i came across the 5zigen fireball catback. i was wondering if anyone knows if its a dual cat-back and what kind of price i would looking at for that? or if anyone has any suggestions for a custom set up (piping size, mufflers, etc)

i didnt pay anything for the cats and o2 sensors. i traded my pioneer flip out to a guy that works at a shop and he got them for me and installed them. nice to know people in the auto industry when you have a money pit lexus lol

im only getting maybe 260 miles to a full tank on a 2000 gs3. does anyone know why or what i can do to fix this? and im also blowing white smoke at full throttle. i have had all of the o2 sensors replaced and even have brand new cats? anything advice would be helpful.

Will oem hid headlights and ballasts work in a gs that wasnt equipped? and if they do can they be adjusted without the auto leveling system?

no i didnt do the math wrong. my gs3 has a 19 gallon tank 256miles divided by 19 gallons... assuming you somehow drove you car til the tank was completely empty would give you mileage of 13.473684210526315789473684210526mpg... or so... 13.5mpg is not 12 mpg like you said.. and also I highly doubt you bought 19 gallons of gas on your last fill up unless you pushed your car to your gas station... so either your math is wrong...or the numbers you put up here are. In either case, try cleaning out the throttle body as they get filthy on our cars. A seafoam treatment wouldn't hurt either. On another note my mileage went up to 17.5mpg on my second to last fillup which is the best I've gotten in a long time. I was averaging about 15mpg these past few weeks.

I went 256 miles on a full tank on a 2000 gs3 with 120k. brand new o2 sensors tires are aired up. i know what the problem could be? do i need new plugs and wires?

i think the is300 headers will fit. you may have to modify them to fit on to the rest of them exhaust tho

Im wondering how people get the foglights on their gs to come on without turning on the headlights.

I just installed my 6000k hid kit and im wanting to replace the foglights to get that factory look. can i just get new bulbs or do i need to replace the whole fog light?

Either the little speaker or where the sound is coming from is hidden and in a spot its not supposed to be in or the volume has been adjusted. my mechanics said there is a thumbwheel of some sorts under the dash that you can adjust it with. i have searched and i havent found it yet. does anyone here know where it could possibly be? thanks.

Ive thought about getting a set of 18 inch g35 wheels and putting them on my car. ive seen one picture of one with this done to it and i cant find it again. any opinions comments or suggestions are appreciated

Is there any place that sells projector headlights without the halos? or are my only options a retrofit or buy the rice headlights off ebay? and where can i find a oem headlights for cheap if i go with the retrofit?

occasionally ive been hearing this popping sound from the suspension on the drivers side whenever i turn the wheel. but lately its been getting more frequent. a friend of mine told that the bushings on the control arm is whats causing it. Do i have to replace the whole control arm or can the bushings just be replaced?

what are the chances that 3 out of 4 door actuators on a 2000 gs300 would need replacing?
