1998 Lexus Gs 300 Logo Screen On Nav Lag Problem

Has anyone encountered this problem?

I have a 98' GS 300 with the Nav system. Lately whenever I turn it on the Lexus Logo comes on and stays on for about a a minute or so before going to the menu screen. Normally it should revert to the menu screen in a few seconds. Anyone have this problem, will it get worse??

What led up to the lag ? This is very difficult to diagnose over the internet. The more info you supply the better the chance to get to the bottom of the lag.
