ella
Dealer told me this week that my Palm Treo 700 WX phone will not work with the IS 250 Bluetooth!!! First I'm curious as to WHY? Design problem? Business Deal? The salesperson told me to buy a new phone, but the treo is the only phone that operates the new Iboxes for Realtors so I would like to keep it. Has anyone used a Treo with their bluetooth. Should I buy a new phone that is compatible to forward my calls to the car??? Thanks, Ella
gordonw
Unfortunately Palm has bluetooth compatiblity issues. Their bluetooth is totally hit or miss. Even if you could get the Treo to pair with the car, connection may not be reliable. It may disconnect on its own. You may want to try some the Palm forum sites such treocentral for more tips. Also I would recommend going to the Palm website and download any updates for your phone. Attached is a link to a letter from Palm in response to a customers complaint about its bluetooth and other bugs. Its dated the end of last year, but at least Palm admits to its issues. Unfortunately the issue has been around since Treo 650 days. http://treocast.treocentral.com/PalmResponseLetter.pdf Good luck.
