kalasend
Hi, I just purchased a 04 IS300. When I fueled the car, it seemed that in the path to the fuel tank, there is not a flap that prevents the fuel from spilling. Did I buy a defective car or is it just the way it is? smooth1
I'm not clear on your question. Are you talking about in the feed spout itself? or like a plastic catch at the bottom of the punch door? Can you post a pic and point to what you mean?
flop170
i think he's talking about the fuel valve that's right inside the fill neck.... and i looked and mine doesn't have one either guy! but my other car does so i think i know what your talking about.... when you stick in the gas pump it opens that valve which also opens up a vent so you can fill up and let out the gas vapors at the same time..... or at least that's what i just read... not sure why our cars don't have it... maybe it's done a different way or something... Yeah, that's what I was asking about. Okay, then I don't have to worry about it I guess....coz the first time I refuel there was slight fuel spilled so I thought the flap was missing. Thanks guys
