acf Posted September 6, 2003 Posted September 6, 2003 Its not clear to me how much to spray on for a large sedan. The instructions say to spray 2 or 3 half dollar sized amounts for the entire cleaned area. But how much is an area? I ended up respraying on the cloth after each seat or so. Was that overkill?
SW03ES Posted September 6, 2003 Posted September 6, 2003 The trick is you dont want to soak the seat, so if you didnt have product pooling in the seat, you did fine ;)
bbsal Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 what i do is spray twice per section.like over the whole bottom of the seat i might spray 4 or five times to cover the whole seat then just buff in. :D
JerWong Posted November 25, 2003 Posted November 25, 2003 i use lexol also... it doesn't look like it conditions my leather much..
SW03ES Posted November 25, 2003 Posted November 25, 2003 Thats because you have coated leather, nothing conditions it much ;)
acf Posted November 26, 2003 Author Posted November 26, 2003 So my "overkill" was attempting to condition the leather in the first place... ;)
jeremyp Posted November 26, 2003 Posted November 26, 2003 No that's not true. You definitely want to condition the leather. It's just that with coated leather it doesn't soak in as much conditioner as uncoated leather does. That's why it's so important to keep conditioning the leather on a regular basis so it doesn't dry out. You will notice that if you condition the leather more frequently that it will soften up.
SW03ES Posted December 1, 2003 Posted December 1, 2003 I actually disagree. Thats the best part about coated leather, just keep it clean and you really dont have to condition it much. Some have found over conditioning wears away the protective coating.
