Ls 460 Satellite Radio Optons

I am purchasing an LS 460, which comes standard with XM Radio. I have Sirius in my current car and would like to stick with it. Is there any way to rig the current system so the Sirius radio information will display and operate through the navigation screen like the XM does? I would rather not have to put the little reciever box on the dash and run it through the FM frequency. Thanks, jb

Lexus has a Sirius kit, see your dealer.

Sirius will not plug and play into the nav display in the LS460. The XM that comes standard has a seperate ECU that is wired into the muliplex system of the car. You can't install Sirius like other Lexus models due to the configuratation of the LS460's AVC/LAN system. You will have to go aftermarket and use a FM modulator.

has anyone added XM or sirius themselves? any instructions? Cheaper source for parts? I want to get this for my parents for xmas because they fight over driving their other car because of the XM/Sirius.

The LS460 only has the XM option and its factory installed only due to the added XM Traffic system.
