rayh78 Posted July 18, 2007 Share Posted July 18, 2007 Cant open trunk. Never had a problem before. Using the key the lock will not turn clockwise to open. Have you tried pushing down on the trunk lid while the key is in the unlock position to see if maybe taking the pressure off will help release the latch? Also, if you have a stong magnet like an old speaker, wrap it in a towel and slide the magnet side to side over where the latch would be in the trunk lid to see if maybe you can gain some leverage on the latch. Once you open it, if the latch itself isn't broken, I would consider cleaning it out and lubricating the latch real good. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
