Will The Rim From 96ls Fit 2000?

Will your ES wheels fit the LS ? I am told the GS & RX wheels will not fit the LS cause the spokes will not clear the calipers.

The GS wheels will fit the LS, but I dont believe the RX or ES wheels will because they wont clear the calipers, the RX and ES are FWD.

I have my grandpa inspired 15" stock wheels in storage downstairs. They will stay there until I sell the car. Why in the hell did Lexus put 15" wheels on their flagship car when they rolled it out in 1990? Did Mercedes have 15" wheels on their luxury cars? They changed to 16" wheels the next year. Didn't they? 15" wheels? That baffles me...

Lexus has been very reluctant to up the wheel diameter of their vehicles because of the impact on the ride.

I don't feel much if any ride difference after switching from 15" to 18" wheels. I think it has much more to do with the suspension than the wheel diameter or the lower profile tire? Unless you mean Lexus would have to lower the suspension to match the aesthetics of a larger wheel? I know I want to lower mine so it looks better. No 4X4 look!

The handling gets much better though....

I can tell the difference. The LS430s with the 17 inch wheel have a stiffer ride, more tire noise then the LS430s with the 16 inch wheels for instance. I can definately tell.
