lenore Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 My son just called and said his wife got stuck, her car died while at a beauty parlor, The battery was dead, they jumped it and it ran, they kept it running to finish errands....The car is only 1 week old.... 07 es350 does anybody know if there has been a problem with batteries lately? And will Lexus come out to replace the battery? The nearest dealer is 40 miles away.. Ohby the way the trac light code is also on... could this be related to the battery going south...
amf1932 Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 This is the first time I ever heard of a dead battery problem on a new ES350 or any new Lexus, and yes, Lexus will come out and do what's necessary to do this repair. Since the trac light code is on, there is a deeper problem that has to be addressed by Lexus dealer service. There will be absolutely no cost involved......the car is 100% guaranteed! Call this telephone # 800-255-3987 (Lexus Customer Satisfaction)
SW03ES Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Thats actually not uncommon. A lot of times the cars will sit in ACC mode and decharge while in transit and on the lot, weakening the batteries.
