How do I pause a cd in an '03 es300? As far as I can tell, there is no pause button...uh, isnt this a huuuge oversight?

Yes, it is definitely an oversight on both the ML and the standard CD players. It's still the same on the '07 ES's.

I've never seen a pause button on an OEM audio system, ever, from any manufacturer.

If you want to pause a song simply turn the system off or switch it to another input, it will pause the track where its at until you come back to it.

I don't know whether that trick works with the ML system, because when you have the CD playing the cassette controls are disengaged.

Honestly, just turn the audio off. It will pause the track until you turn it back on.
