Help... When Can I Wax My New Is ?

I have heard that you should wait before you wax a new car. Is there any truth to this - and if so, how long should I wait before I can wax ?

I have never heard such a thing. I waxed my 4Runner 2 days after I got it, because I felt that the coating wasn't thick enough... ;)

I've heard you should wait to allow the new paint to set up.

The paint is cured enough when you buy it.

Outdated thinking. Modern paints are hard cured at the factory, even if they weren't if you check the build date you'll find your car is probably at least a month old by the time you buy it anyways.

Its already been waxed anyways, the dealer waxed it before you took delivery.
