rcernak
The only alarm fob for my '97 ES 300 is lost. It was used to lock the car and set the alarm the last time it was driven. I am unable to start the car with my only spare key because of (I guess) an ingnition interlock or imobilzer tied to the alarm. This key works in all locks, including glove box and trunk, so it is not a valet key. Is there any way to release the interlock? I have tried disconnecting the battery and waiting a half hour before reconnecting, but this does nothing. Thanks for any help you can provide. SKperformance
I don't think your key has an immobiliser. Just get out and lock the doors and unlock them again and start it.
