Replacing Hid Bulb

I have read the post with the diagram of the back of the headlight but I have a more general question about replacing the HID bulb on an '01 IS300. Do you need to detached the headlight from the chassis of the car before you can open the plastic cover where the bulb is housed? Does anyone have a link or a post or specific directions on how to do the whole process (which bolts to remove, how the headlamp slides out, etc.). I spent some time trying to get access to the bulb housing but was unsuccessful. Thanks in advance.

All you have to do is rotate the plastic cover about 3/8 inch (clockwise when standing in front of the car) and it should pop loose. No need to remove anything else just to change the bulb.
