Toyota Form In Place Gasket

I have some FIPG, does anyone have any opinions on whether its a good idea to use it on my Mazda when I change the valve cover gasket? Should I just get some of the other stuff instead or would using the FIPG be alright?

Use a regular valve cover gasket. Why would you want to substitute an OEM rubber gasket with FIPG? You can try it if you want but the seating surface on that valve cover gasket isn't like the one on your oil/tranny pan.

Read this first, and then make a decision as to whether you want to use this method or not. Remember there are pro's and con's using FIPG for certain applications.

Thanks for the info, I had planned on using a new gasket and sealing it with FIPG, but I'll just use the generic stuff... best to keep it simple i guess.
