Interior Trunk Release Failure Es330

The interior trunk release on my ES330 (2005), has failed. The remote release still works as does the interior gas tank release. Any ideas?

It should still be under warranty, I'd let Lexus worry about it.

check the trunk lock out switch in the glove compartment. It may have been inadvertantly put into the engaged position. There is a good explantion in the manual for the use of this button.

You open the glove compartment, you can see a button at left, press it and try the interior trunk lid opene again.
