Clips For Engine Covers

I noticed yesterday that a couple of the round plastic clips holding the engine covers on are either missing or completely loose on my new ES350. The car only has 120 miles on it so I am a bit surprised to see this happening. When I tried to replace one of the loose clips it seems as though it is the wrong size as it just wants to come right back out again. Anyone else experience this problem, I was hoping to avoid the dealer until my first oil change.

Since you have a new ES, you're under warranty for almost everything except for items classified as wear-and-tear. Tell the parts dept at the dealer that the clips never came with the car when you took delivery, and that you ask for new ones at no charge. I don't see how they could turn that request down but give it a shot.
