A Tick And A Tock Goes The Brakes...

For a couple of weeks now I hear what sounds like something that sounds like buzzing followed by a tock that gets activated when i press my brakes regardless if the car is in motion or not. It does not happen everytime i press the brakes, maybe every 5 or so times that I apply the brakes. The sound is not coming from the wheels but rather from the engine compartment. Is this at all normal?

This is normal. Hydraulic pressure in the GS is provided by a pump. After depressing the brake several times, the pump will cycle on.
