Sc400 Tuner Posted August 20, 2003 Share Posted August 20, 2003 You could buy one of those retrofit kits, which have 9006 bulb adapters, because the HID bulbs wont fit the sockets on the sc400 lenses. I did an HID conversion my car, and I kind of did it the ghetto way, I just filed down the plastic surround on the HID bulbs to fit, and epoxy'd them in. but after doing that, it looked HORRIBLE. the projectors in our car have some WEIRD stuff going on in there. So I had to take apart the projectors and remove some of the blocking plates. It looks GREAT now, but If I was going to do it over, I would get some real HID projectors, say out of a bmw or audi or something, and use them in place of the sc400 projectors. Just figured id give you a heads up on my experiences doing the HID upgrade on our cars. It looks great now, but it sucked before modifying the stock projectors. Good luck.
