Hi All,

I just got my tein cs and edfc and ready for installation. Just wanted to ask those of you who has installed them to give any advice you can. Things to look out for, tricks to make things easier, how did you run the wire for the front edfc motor to the controller that will be sitting inside the car, etc. Also, how do you adjust the ride heigt on the tein cs? The instructions that came with the teins are not in english. I was searching for a post I saw awhile back where someone installed the edfc controller inside the ash tray area, but couldn't find it.

i dont have any experience with installing the edfc but when you do the front suspension your going to have to remove or push the windshield washer tank so the upper arm bolts can come off.

height is adjustable 2 ways. you can either lower the car by spring rate which means rotating the perch with the spring on it which also means you would need to adjust the dampening that would match that spring rate. or the way i recomend after you adjust the spring rate to your liking you can rotate the threadded sleeve or shock body while the shock is attatched to the arm. you can rotate the shock body by simply loosening the lock perch and rotating the locked spring perch (the one with the 2 perches acting as a lock kind of like how you rotate a threaded stud by using 2 nuts jammed together) also this way you wont have to adjust dampening if you change height in the future..

i hope you understand what im writing im kinda confusing my self but i hope this helps.

and you will love the CS's!! they are ultra comfortable compared to say the flex's.

oh and dont forget to measure everything before you put it on to make sure the shock lengths are the same.

Thanks for the tips. I haven't got around to taking the strut assembly out yet so I started on the edfc wiring first. I took some pictures and will post the whole project when I'm done with it.

Yep, I am unable to take the rear strut off last night. Even with a friend's help. I went out and bought a 300 in. lb. electric impact wrench and it didn't work either. Going to return it today and get a pnuematic one some where around the 500 in. lb.

Okay, I got the rear put in and started working on the front and noticed my lower control arm bushing is all messed up, so I'm going to replace that also. I'm going to go with the supra control arms. Does anybody know what year range of supra control arms will fit a 1994 sc400? Will it be from a regular supra or the twin turbo supra?

Need some help. I got the tien cs all in, but one problem. the front right has more gap than the left front even though their heights are set the same. I then jack the right side back up and lower it some more, buy turning the spring seat. Now the there is only one thread left available to go down any further and it still have a bigger gap than the left side by a 1/4 inch. Anybody got any ideas? I called Tein Support and they couldn't come up with anything and told me to double check the installation to make sure the springs on the tein cs are same number. Taking it in tomorrow to get an alignment and new front tires.

The issue with the front right having more gap than the left could possibly be due to the fact that my garage my not be as level as it may look. When I park it outside my drive way which has a little slope towards the street, their gap level is almost identical. So I'm going to leave as is.

Now for the tein cs review...LOVE IT! I finally got the stance I want. The front is lower than before while giving a more comfortable ride. The car is just steady on the freeway now. Before, I was having problem with the car shifting in certain lanes a lot on the freeway, test some of those lanes out and so far, no shifting. All I can say is that I'm very happy with the purchase. I've installed the EDFC also, but haven't play with the settings yet as I want the threadlock to really dry up first, so to avoid any possibilities of the edfc motor spinning. Here are some pics.
