godfather18 Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Funny story this morning my uncle was showing me his engine on his 1994 ES300 1MZ-FE and I noticed he had 6 coils on his engine 3 front, 3 rear. But my 96ES300 has 3 coils in front and not on the rear, is there a difference in the engines or am I missing 3 coils any tips would be greatly appreciated. Toysrme please leave a post on this one.
Toysrme Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 94's are coil on plug. 95+ is wasted spark. One coil drives two plugs at the same time.
godfather18 Posted December 4, 2006 Author Posted December 4, 2006 Does that do anything for performance does the 94 have more power because it has more coils?
SKperformance Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 It was just a redesign to make the rear bank more acessable.
